BELL MÉDIA

Grand Unveiling

In partnership with Sync Média, we animated 50 assets in 2 weeks for Bell Média's Grand Dévoilement event. Logos and categories came to life live, projected on three LED screens in front of the audience.

VILLE DE LACHUTE

Municipal Communication

The City wanted residents to understand why the water turns brown when the network is under stress, and to adopt better water-use habits. We turned a technical issue into an explanation that's simple, clear, and easy to remember.

WorkToGo

SaaS App Launch

For the launch of their workforce management platform, WorkToGo wanted a video that reflects their target audience's on-the-ground reality. We combined motion design to showcase the features with hybrid filming to keep it grounded in their everyday life.

OUR MOTION DESIGN WORKFLOW

There’s no secret formula here. Here’s exactly how we work, step by step, to create a high-quality motion design video.

01

The Creative Brief

Creative brief outlining the guidelines and objectives for the motion design project

Leave with a clear direction, not a blank page.

Before we even start thinking about the first animation, we sit down with you to clarify what your video needs to achieve: who it’s aimed at, what action it should prompt, and the message that should stick with viewers after they’ve watched it. It’s this foundation that guides every decision we make later on regarding style, pacing, and animation.

02

The script

Complete script, including narration and dialogue, for a motion design video

Read through your story—both the text and the narration—before we animate anything.

A motion design video script is different from a dialogue script: it describes what you see on screen AND what you hear, including the narration. It’s the text version of your video before a single frame has been animated. This is the easiest and least expensive time to make adjustments to the content, since nothing has been animated yet.

03

Concept art and style frames

Style frames that define the project's visual direction and animation style

See your style take shape before the first animation.

Style frames are still images that show what a scene will look like once it’s animated: colors, textures, and art direction. If your video requires characters, this is also where we’ll work with you to define them: appearance, clothing, and a representation that truly reflects your audience, including considerations of diversity and inclusion if that’s important to your brand.

04

The Storyboard

Explore your video shot by shot, before the first second of animation.

The storyboard combines the script and style frames into a sequence of shots, in order. We use your references to build this structure—the complete blueprint for your video—which lets you see the pacing and flow before we animate anything.

05

Creative Validation

Illustration showing the approval of the creative direction before the animation begins

Approve the creative direction before we start editing.

Once the script, style frames, and storyboard have been approved, we take a deliberate break: this is the moment when your entire team needs to be on the same page regarding the direction. Changing a character, a piece of dialogue, or a shot is still easy at this stage, but much harder once animation has begun.

06

The Narrative

Recording the Narration and Audio Timeline for a Motion Design Video

Listen as your story takes shape, in the language of your choice.

A voice actor or actress records the script that we’ve already approved together. It’s precisely because this script was finalized early on that we avoid the dozens of narration versions that would otherwise drag out the timeline. We also offer a choice of languages (French, English, Spanish), and for quick turnaround, we can deliver multiple language versions of your video.

07

Motion Design

Character animation currently in production using motion design software

Watch your video come to life, frame by frame.

This is the stage where the team brings each approved shot in the storyboard to life. We don't work in isolation: we show you our progress before going too far, to make sure we're on the right track, all the way through to the first complete version.

08

Reviews

Collaborative review platform with comments on the video during production

Give your scores, down to the second.

Once the first version is delivered, you can leave your comments directly on frame.io, a platform that lets you annotate the video minute by minute. It's simple, precise, and eliminates the need for back-and-forth emails. We typically plan for 3 to 6 rounds of revisions.

09

Final Approval and Delivery

Quality Control Checklist for Final Approval Before Video Delivery

Approve the final version and receive your video in your preferred formats.

We'll approve the final version together, and we'll deliver it in the formats you need (portrait, square, landscape, or any other aspect ratio you request). Subtitles are included (bilingual if needed; additional languages incur additional costs). Source files are not provided by default, but are available upon request.

ARE YOU LOOKING TO MAKE YOUR MESSAGE
MORE DYNAMIC?

You’ve come to the right place. The dynamism of motion design is what transforms information into fun, bite-sized chunks that are easy to digest, the simplest way to show your audience that what they thought was complicated isn’t really that complicated after all. It sticks in people’s minds, and they’ll associate it with your brand. Here’s how it compares to other tools for presenting your information.

AI Overview
  • Centered around a talking AI avatar, accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation
  • Designed for training purposes
  • The same avatar, no matter what brand you use
  • Cannot customize based on your product
  • Unable to visualize an abstract concept or a piece of data
  • Lacks a lot in terms of explanation
  • It's hard to stand out—everyone uses the same tool

FAQ
